"10..., 9..., 8..." No lift-off for this machine, or at least not anything above skimming the surface of the water. Pictured here is a boat that "was ordered off the highway... when a highway inspector found that the driver was not carrying a permit to transport the 12-foot wide racing craft." The boat was impounded until the owner obtained the correct permits. Apparently, it caught the attention of the local reporter and it was published in the May 5, 1956 edition of The Romeo Observer.
